Interpreters for training & workshops in Morocco

fulbridge provides interpreters and equipment for training courses and workshops across Morocco. We work for organisations abroad that train mixed-language groups, such as development programmes, NGOs and training providers. Our Marrakech team sends one quote for interpreters, equipment and translation.

Trainer presenting to a group during an interpreted training session in Morocco

What you get

  • Two interpreters for each language. In simultaneous interpretation, the interpreter speaks at the same time as the trainer. It is tiring work, so interpreters work in pairs and take turns.
  • Interpreters who prepare. Before the first session, they read your agenda and slides and learn your key terms. They also check how each speaker says their name.
  • Equipment that fits a training room. For small groups and breakout sessions, we supply portable systems. For larger rooms, we bring a mobile booth built to ISO 4043, consoles and headsets. We set it all up and take it away.
  • Translated materials before day one. We translate your slides, handouts and assessments, so trainees have them on the first morning.
  • 9 languages. Our interpreters for English, French, Arabic, Spanish and Portuguese are based in Morocco. For Mandarin Chinese, German, Russian and Turkish, we fly interpreters in.

Interpreters who understand training

fulbridge was founded by Michael Delrieu, an English–French interpreter and trainer. He has 10 years of interpreting and 20 years of teaching English, with the Cambridge DELTA teaching diploma. So we know how a training day works: the pace, the activities, the questions and the group work.

Which type of interpretation do you need?

  • Simultaneous interpretation suits most training days and workshops with 5 to 50 delegates. Delegates listen through headsets and can ask questions in their own language.
  • Consecutive interpretation suits small groups, site visits and practical sessions. The trainer pauses, and the interpreter then repeats what was said in the other language.
  • Whispered interpretation (chuchotage) suits one to three trainees in a larger group. The interpreter sits next to them and whispers. No equipment is needed.
  • Remote or hybrid training is for when your trainer or some trainees join on Zoom or Teams. See remote interpretation.

How it works

  1. Tell us about your training. Send us your dates, city, languages and number of delegates.
  2. Get one quote. For French, English, Arabic, Spanish and Portuguese, we reply within 24 hours. For other languages, we reply quickly.
  3. Send us your materials. Share your agenda, slides and any list of key terms, ideally two days before the training. If we also translate them, send them earlier: we translate about 2,000 words a day.
  4. On the day. Interpreters are in place 30 minutes before the start. We set up the equipment and pack it up at the end.

Prices

  • Interpreters: from MAD 6,000 per interpreter per day in Marrakech, including VAT.
  • Equipment: from MAD 1,800 per language per day in Marrakech, Casablanca or Rabat. This includes a booth, two interpreter consoles, a central control unit, 20 headsets, setup and pack-up.
  • Outside Marrakech: the same day rate, plus travel and accommodation.
  • Chinese, German, Russian & Turkish, half days and longer programmes: price on request.

Example: a one-day training in Marrakech, English to French, 30 delegates. 2 interpreters × MAD 6,000 + 1 equipment package × MAD 1,800 + 10 extra headsets × MAD 42 = about MAD 14,220 including VAT, before any discount.

All prices are approximate and include 20% VAT. Your quote is the final price, in MAD. See all our prices. Ask us for a quote for your training.

Questions about interpretation for training

How much preparation material do you need, and when?

Ideally two days before the training. Send us the agenda, the slides and any list of key terms or acronyms. If we also translate them, send them earlier: we translate about 2,000 words a day.

Can the interpreter follow group work and breakout groups?

Yes. For breakout groups, we supply portable systems, so an interpreter can move with the group. For small groups, consecutive interpretation also works well, with no equipment.

Why do we need two interpreters for one language?

Simultaneous interpretation is very demanding, so interpreters work in pairs and take turns. For a full training day, you normally need two interpreters for each language.

Can you also translate our slides and handouts?

Yes. We translate training material such as slides, handouts, guidelines and assessments. We translate about 2,000 words a day, so send them early and trainees will have them on the first day.

Do you work outside Marrakech?

Yes, across Morocco, including Casablanca, Rabat, Agadir, Fez and Tangier. The interpreter day rate is the same; travel and accommodation are added to the quote.
