Consecutive interpreters & whispered interpretation in Morocco

fulbridge provides consecutive and whispered interpreters for business meetings, negotiations, site visits and small groups across Morocco. In consecutive interpretation, the speaker pauses and the interpreter then repeats what was said in the other language. Whispered interpretation is for one to three listeners and needs no equipment.

What you get

  • Consecutive interpretation. The speaker talks for a few sentences, then pauses. The interpreter repeats what was said in the other language. For meetings, negotiations, interviews and press conferences.
  • Whispered interpretation (chuchotage). The interpreter sits next to one to three listeners and whispers what is said. For a visitor or a small delegation in a larger meeting. No equipment.
  • Interpreters who come with you. On site visits, factory tours and field trips, the interpreter stays with your group. For larger groups that move, we supply portable systems.
  • Interpreters who prepare. Before your meeting, they read your agenda and documents and learn your key terms. They also check how each person says their name.
  • 9 languages. English, French, Arabic, Spanish and Portuguese, plus Mandarin Chinese, German, Russian and Turkish. Other languages, such as Urdu, through our network.

Consecutive, whispered or simultaneous?

  • Consecutive: for meetings and small groups where everyone speaks in turn. Your meeting takes longer, because each part is said twice. Plan more time on the agenda.
  • Whispered: for one to three people who need the interpretation, while the rest of the room shares a language.
  • Simultaneous: for conferences, training days and larger groups, when speakers must keep a normal pace. Listeners use headsets or their phone. See simultaneous interpretation.

Not sure? Tell us what your meeting looks like, and we will tell you which one fits.

Questions about consecutive & whispered interpretation

What is the difference between consecutive and simultaneous interpretation?

In consecutive interpretation, the speaker pauses and the interpreter then speaks. In simultaneous interpretation, the interpreter speaks at the same time as the speaker, from a booth or a portable system, and listeners use headsets.

Does consecutive interpretation make a meeting longer?

Yes. Each part is said twice, so plan more time on the agenda. For long sessions with many listeners, simultaneous interpretation saves that time.

How many people can whispered interpretation serve?

One to three listeners. For more people, we use a portable system, so the interpreter can speak quietly into a microphone and the group listens on headsets.

Can the interpreter travel with our delegation?

Yes, across Morocco, including site visits outside the big cities. Travel and accommodation are added to the quote.
