On the Beginner French course you will learn the basic grammar and vocabulary needed to express yourself effectively in everyday situations

In a small, intimate and friendly learning environment, with a maximum of six students per class with the active support of qualified and experienced native speakers, you will quickly pick up the basics and be able to interact with others with ease.

1483378_793209574038461_215429921_nOn the course you will begin to form simple, common sentences for everyday use in shops, administration, taxi drivers, trains, bank, phone companies, telephone, post office, (can you think of other situations?)

You will learn how to use French to express your opinions, and be able to ask questions and understand replies given in everyday language.

The French taught in these classes has been adapted from regular or normal French to reflect you situation and needs as an expat in Morocco.

1507027_595259417196163_1084402501_nThe Beginner French course will build your competence in essential vocabulary, basic grammar, important pronunciation and vital social language to develop your skills in speaking, listening, and reading (writing optional) and provide you with the communicative confidence and language skills essential for work, socialising and other areas of life in Marrakech and, further afield, in other French speaking countries.

Where and when are the classes run?

The classes run from 9:00 – 10:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the fulbridge centre in Assif B. See for a map and directions to the centre.

How much do the classes cost?

The classes cost 90dh per person per hour, payable monthly at 1080dh per person per month for eight 90 minute classes.

In other words, there are two 90 minute classes per week, totalling 12 hours tuition per month. Payment is due at the beginning of the month and is 90dh per hour: 1080dh for eight 90 minute classes.

If I can’t attend all of the classes do I still have to pay for the whole month?

No. If you know that you won’t be able to make all the classes, let us know at the beginning of the month when payment is due and we will deduct the classes that you cannot attend from your payment.

Can I try a class before committing to the full month?

Yes. You are welcome to try one class for free and if it doesn’t suit you then you are not obliged to commit to anything.

What if the class is too easy for me?

If you try a class and feel that the level is too easy for you, fulbridge also provides French conversation classes for those who feel they can already communicate in French. Classes are run from 10:30 – 12:00 on Mondays and Thursdays at the Café du Livre in Gueliz. As with all fulbridge language courses, you can try a class for free before committing. Can I join the class at any point in the month?

Yes. The classes function on a continuous enrollment basis, meaning you can join whenever you like.

What size are the classes?

There is a maximum of six students per class.

What are the registration fees or fees?


What do I need to bring to the class?

Fulbridge provides all learning materials, participants need only bring a pen and paper.

Can I get a certificate?

Yes. Certificates are available on demand.

Is there a test at the end of the course?

When your teacher feels that you are ready to move to the next level, fulbridge can provide a formal test to show this if you so wish. Otherwise, tests are not necessary.
